Using the CYD: All Clones are Not Created Equal!

In another component video, I'll be taking a look at two different variants of the Cheap Yellow Display (CYD). While these two different "clones" appear similar, I'll show that they have significant differences, including different touch screen technologies. I'll cover how to get both types working for display and touch using Arduino/C++ and ESPHome. I'll show how I identified the ESP chips used, GPIO pins needed and other necessary configuration info such as I2C addresses. This component may not be as simple to implement as many other components, but they do offer a lot of functionality in a single unit.
