Video Description

CORRECTION: We mistakenly identified the Brookings Institution as the Brookings Institute. We regret the error. President Donald Trump has threatened, levied, raised and paused tariffs on dozens of countries since returning to office. In the last week, for example, Trump threatened and then agreed to delay a 50% tariff on goods from the European Union. But no country has faced the brunt of his trade policies more than China, which faced tariffs as high as 145%, and also levied tariffs on U.S. goods as high as 125%, before both nations lowered them and agreed to hold talks.
