The journey that began 8 weeks ago has reached its incredible conclusion! Welcome to the Grand Finale (Week 8) of the "Basic Arduino and Automation Training" at ECWA Secondary School, North Bank, Makurdi. Today wasn't just about showing off projects; it was about demonstrating the resilience, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills these students have developed under the mentorship of the Triumphant Thrive Foundation (TTF) and D’Eagle Tech Systems (DTS). 🚀 The Final Projects: Innovation in Action Despite the pressure of "Live" demonstrations, our three groups showcased impressive automated systems: 📍 Group A: The Smart Traffic Light System An integrated system mimicking a real-world intersection, using sequential timing and precise LED control to manage traffic flow safely. 🏠 Group B: The Smart Home Automation System A comprehensive model house featuring an automated door (Servo control), manual/automatic light switching, and a temperature-controlled motor fan, all powered by a single Arduino "brain." 🔢 Group C: The 7-Segment Sequence & The Pivot Engineering is rarely perfect! Group C originally designed a "Smart Wastebin," but after multiple servo motors were burnt during testing, they had to make an emergency pivot—a true learning moment. In record time, they implemented a 7-Segment display system that counts 1–5, synchronized with a moving LED sequence. Their ability to troubleshoot under pressure was the highlight of the day! 🎓 Learning Through Challenges In the world of technology, things break. We embrace the "burnt servos" as part of the learning process.
