About

I have a passion for travel, geeky events, and for researching odd topics about Sweden and other countries. So showing it all off on YouTube is a perfect idea, isn't it? This channel focuses on Sweden, and Stockholm in particular, but I also travel extensively to the rest of the Nordics, to Europe, and to the rest of the world. During my travels I try to find odd and fascinating experiences that you won't find on a normal charter trip. Let's explore Sweden and the whole world together!

Video Description

Swedish people are often polite and friendly, and they don't like to make a big fuss about things openly. But there are some things that Swedes absolutely HATE! This is a list of 10 pitfalls to avoid if you're visiting Sweden. This is something people often recommend when traveling abroad, but it's pretty much useless in Sweden. And also quite annoying. - Don't talk politics. Sweden has many political parties and many ideologies, and none of them are likely to be compatible with your views. - And don't litter! Sweden is a clean country, and we want to keep it that way! - Many cultures have people honking their car horns pretty often in traffic. Sweden doesn't. Stop honking that car horn! - Whatever you do, don't ask a Swede about their secret mushroom spots. Seriously. - Speaking of driving in Sweden, it's nice that so many tourists from nearby countries come to visit. But if you want to make a road trip in Sweden leave your caravan or mobile home at home. - If you're riding escalators or walking in Stockholm, don't stop suddenly and look around like a confused deer in headlights. - Stop being so formal! Sweden has a very informal language, and we don't call anyone Sir unless they're knighted. - Bicycle lanes are for bikes, not for pedestrians. Walk where you're supposed to, and don't block up the way. - You might have a culture where it's fine to talk to strangers. Well, Sweden doesn't. Don't talk to strangers. - And finally, don't come to Sweden and have a fika. Confused? Well, check out the video to learn what I mean.
