But the MMA Guru less known. I can’t stop thinking about a man who says that he wouldn’t be here, if it wasn’t for his success on this platform. I can’t quite shake this disconnect between a man people love, people hate, and people who don't know. I guess more appropriately I can’t stop thinking about the MMA Gurus' place in time. His place in this sport. His place here on YouTube. His place at the centre of a changing media landscape, one that many say is dying, being replaced by people like himself, see 20 years ago MMA Journalism was a very different world. His way of going about things are controversial, unfiltered, and considerably divisive. This has led to him being scared even in his own home, and scared that down any dark alleyway Jon Jones is ready to teach him “special jiu jitsu moves” This video will not only explore MMA Gurus' life, and place in this media landscape, but also how traditional mainstream journalism in this sport might be dying. By the run time you can see it is indeed a long winding path that we will explore throughout the course of this video, in the first part we go over the pre guru era, and in the second half of the video we enter the asylum where it is all beanie all wheelchair.
