Today we're diving into motors. Specifically the ej25, although what were looking at can be applied to all engines. There are 3 main block designs: open deck; semi closed deck; and closed deck. Open deck does have a cooling advantage, but that becomes a weakness when overheated badly as they lack the cylinder wall support to keep the piston bores true.
