Will Gutenberg Break your WordPress Website? The only way to know for sure is to test your website with the Gutenberg Plugin with your current WordPress Theme used and the plugins you are using on your website. WordPress is gearing up for the biggest update to the popular content management system in nearly a decade with the addition of a new way to create your content, code named, Gutenberg. In an effort to ensure WordPress maintains it's dominance in the website and blog creation space, the developers who maintain WordPress are actively recreating the default editor using a more modern and fresh approach to creating content on your websites. The new look is similar to what other platforms like Medium has already implemented and people seem to enjoy. Currently, WordPress uses the TinyMCE Editor which has served people well over the years but hasn't been updated in a while. The new Gutenberg Editor has caused many to question what impact would it have on their current site with the themes and plugins they're using. Most themes and plugins should work fine but there are a few that may not support or function properly when the new editor is baked directly into the WordPress Core. The only way to know for sure is to test your website for compatibility. There are several ways to test out your website and get familiar with Gutenberg and in this video I show you how to do it locally and on your production website.
