This video discusses Fedora CoreOS. Today, we'll be using uBlue's uCore variant which comes with Tailscale pre-installed out of the box! uCore provides an immutable operating system where the base system remains read-only, reducing configuration drift and improving system reliability. NVIDIA drivers come pre-installed, ZFS filesystem support is included too! The immutable design means system updates are atomic - uCore specifically being based off an OCI images makes for a very forward thinking OS choice. Container-focused workflows with podman/docker are handled with ease. In this video I'll show how to get started with Butane, Ignition and get your first CoreOS uCore VM up and running on your brand new self-hosted homelab.
