Today i go into a bit of a Rant/Discussion around the issues of starship scaling and the issue of Scale Creep and oversizing in Sci-fi more Generally. the worst offender for this being the Star Wars Franchise. Being created in the 1970s Star Wars took design influences from history and other sci fi including Star Trek. the result were ships that were easily recognizable and which actively communicated their roles, much like the ships of trek. However much like Star Trek, a combination of questionable scources and fan complacency has lead to the Star Wars universe become known for its overblown and absurd starship scaling which in recent years has spilled over into trek. thus i take on the issue over oversized ships in trek but in Star Wars As well...
