"הדת הנוצרית, הדת הגדולה בעולם כיום, החלה את דרכה לפני כ-2,000 שנה כזרם בתוך יהדות ארץ ישראל. רק בהמשך הגיעה ליהודי הפזורה ההלניסטית ומשם עברה לגויים. ברם, גם כאשר פנתה לקהל בעולם היווני-רומי, ניסתה הדת הנוצרית לשכנע באמונתה במשיחיותו של ישוע מנצרת – אמונה שהתגבשה בשיח עם תפיסות משיחיות שאפיינו את יהדות ארץ ישראל. תשתית יהודית זו כללה גם מחויבות לסמכות המקרא ולמקום המרכזי שיועד לעם ישראל בגאולה, אלא שכעת היה צריך להתאימה לקהלי יעד חדשים. בעשרות השנים הראשונות לקיומה של תנועת חסידי ישוע נוצרו הטקסטים שיופיעו בסוף המאה השנייה באסופה המקודשת שתיקרא הברית החדשה. בסדרה נדון בטקסטים מתוך הברית החדשה המדגימים רעיונות מרכזיים בהשקפת חסידי ישוע בדורות הראשונים: טענה למשיחיותו, פרשנות התורה ומעמד מצוותיה בעידן הקץ, מלכות השמיים, השתתפות הגויים בגאולה, ועוד. נבחן טקסטים אלה מול מגילות מקומראן ושאר מקורות מתקופת הבית כמו גם מסורות חז""ל. נלך בעקבות המגמה המחקרית, המבקשת לזהות בכתבי הברית החדשה הן את השיקוף של היהדות הרחבה והן את תהליך ההיבדלות של הנצרות ביחס ליהדות. סרג' רוזר הוא פרופסור חבר בחוג למדע הדתות של האוניברסיטה העברית ולשעבר חוקר עמית במרכז לחקר הנצרות. ספריו ומאמריו עוסקים בנצרות הקדומה בהקשרה היהודי ובנצרות הארמית-סורית." ---- מוזמנות ומוזמנים להרשם לרשימת התפוצה שלנו ולהנות מעדכונים על כל האירועים והתכניות שלנו https://www.bac.org.il/newsletter
