1947年至1949年，国共内战渐入尾声，美国"LIFE"杂志派往中国的摄影师杰克·伯恩斯（Jack Birns）用他的相机记录了这个特殊时期。从华北战场到澳门大丰银行，从外籍侨民的夜总会到难民寄居的棺材铺。他记录下了荒诞的通胀、崩溃的秩序，以及战火之下背井离乡的人们…… 然而，这些直面底层生存的真实影像，由于和杂志当时的创始人观点不同，被雪藏在"LIFE"的图片库中长达50多年。直到2003年才以 "Assignment: Shanghai: Photographs on the Eve of Revolution"（中文书名：《内战结束的前夜——美国生活杂志记者镜头下的中国》）出版发行。 **声明** 本频道解说中所使用摄影作品版权归其原始创作者及版权方所有。
