當我們從台灣搬回美國時，就知道飲食習慣一定要大調整！尤其要給 7個女兒 補充優質蛋白質——在台灣，海鮮多到吃不完，夜市隨便轉角都是新鮮漁貨；但搬到 美國西北部太平洋區 後，海鮮不只少、還貴得讓人心疼啊～ 我弟 Philip 在奧勒岡當語言治療師，住在南部時認識一堆牧場老闊跟養牛鄰居。我們一家剛回美國，他直接送我們 20多磅的草飼牛肉 當見面禮！超香、超嫩，瞬間秒殺我們對美式牛肉的刻板印象！ 今天影片，Philip 帶我深入 奧勒岡的牛仔鄉村，風景美到像電影！他的牧場朋友剛宰好新鮮草飼牛，幫我們準備了 一整頭牛，而 Philip 自己則補貨 半頭牛 塞滿家裡冷凍庫！到底一頭牛能切出多少肉？看影片就知道！ 回到家，Christy 跟7個女兒 聯手開伙，做出我們從沒吃過的 牛肉大餐！這次還挑戰了許多美國人不敢吃的的牛部位……結果？出乎意料地 超好吃！ 一起跟我們開車穿越奧勒岡的壯麗牧場，瞧瞧這群 在台灣長大的女兒們 是怎麼在美國大啃牛排的！ 我們所擁有的一切美好，都來自上帝。感謝主，無論住在哪裡，祂都供應我們一家大小～ 祝你跟你的家人平安喜樂， Stephen Ｗhen we moved from Taiwan back to the USA, we knew that we would have to adjust our eating habits. In terms of providing our 7 daughters with good protein, Taiwan is overflowing with an abundance of seafood. Now that we’re living in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, seafood is comparatively scarce, and a lot more expensive. My younger brother Philip is a speech pathologist in Oregon, and when living southern Oregon he made friends with a lot of ranchers, and neighbors who raised cattle. When our family moved back to the USA, his family actually gifted us with 20+ lbs of delicious grass-fed beef! In today’s video Philip takes me on an epic adventure to beautiful cowboy country, in the rarely-seen parts of southern Oregon, where his friend’s have prepared some freshly-packed, grass-fed beef. Our family bought 1 whole beef, and Philip is just topping off his family’s freezer with half a beef. Watch today’s video to see how much beef that is! Once home, Christy and the girls whip up a mouth-watering, beef dinner like we’ve never had before! In this meal we also eat a part of the cow that most people wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole.
