臺灣大學科學教育發展中心製作 日期： 2012年9月3日（星期一） 時間： 10:30 ~ 11:30 (演講) 11:30 ~ 12:00 (科學座談) 地點：台灣大學凝態物理新館R104 演講廳 講者：張首晟教授 (史丹福大學物理系) 講題：從沙粒看世界 [ 演講摘要 ] 本演講將透過簡單的數量與單位分析讓聽眾了解複雜的世界形成機制。利用少數幾個自然界的基本常數，可輕鬆的估計出宇宙尺寸與宇宙存在時間，原子的尺寸，聖母峰的高度，水黽的大小與海嘯的速度。也藉由這些例證，探討基本科學原理和宇宙真理一致性的美與和諧。進而甚至發現科學跟詩歌期時事追求同樣的自然和諧：科學利用簡單方程式描述複雜的世界的成因，而詩歌則用簡單語言傳頌複雜的感情的組合。 【To see a world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower ; Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour. ~by William Blake 】
