端午节前抵达云阳老城时，天空下着小雨。对岸山峦隐在朦胧中，江水是静的，只有船过时会荡开波澜。站在残破的码头，真正的老城沉在水下，此刻只剩下岸边的几处残垣。低矮处，裸露的砖石沉入水中，曾经的屋顶上长出了水草。 小红船在江雨中从远处驶来，登上船，沿着江岸行驶，两旁是连绵的山壁，其间偶尔露出一段段残墙，它们嵌在草木之间，静默无言。 雨短暂地停了，新城也到了。上岸便是宽阔的街道，空气里有潮湿的草木气息。三峡梯城的石阶向上延伸，消失在雨天的云雾里，这一刻真正明白“云阳”二字的含义。 在新城里散步，街边菜市正热闹：新鲜的水果，嫩生生的蔬菜，还有摊主手上包着青绿的粽子，一把把艾草扎好摆在地上。节日的氛围，就这样落在这些具体的物事上。 穿过街巷，走向长江。长江大桥下，一艘艘船驶过，漂向远方。岸边的滨江公园，孩子们在这里嬉戏。这里的一切，都显得稳固、闲适、充满日常的生命力。人们买菜、散步、在江边吹风，生活从容地铺展在坚实的平地上。 天色渐渐开始暗了下来，而这座小城也将渐渐安睡在温柔的夜色了。 I arrived in Old Yunyang just before the Dragon Boat Festival, under a light drizzle. Standing on the ruined dock, the true old city lay submerged beneath the water, with only a few crumbling walls remaining on the bank. Lower down, exposed bricks and stones sank into the river, and water weeds grew where rooftops once stood. The little red boat approached through the rain. Boarding it and sailing along the shore, we passed continuous cliffs, where broken wall fragments occasionally emerged, embedded silently among the trees and grass. The rain stopped briefly as we reached the new town. Stepping ashore onto wide streets, the air carried the damp scent of plants. The stone steps of the Three Gorges Ladder City stretched upward, disappearing into the rainy mist—and in that moment, I truly understood the meaning of "Yunyang" (Cloud Sun). Strolling through the new town, the street market was bustling: fresh fruit, tender vegetables, and vendors hand-wrapping bright green zongzi rice dumplings, with bundles of mugwort laid neatly on the ground. Walking through the lanes toward the Yangtze, ships passed under the great bridge, drifting into the distance. In the riverside park, children played. Everything here felt solid, leisurely, and brimming with everyday life. People shopped, took walks, enjoyed the river breeze—life unfolding calmly on solid ground.
