The CSIS Southeast Asia Program is honored to host the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Lawrence Wong, on October 13 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Since assuming the role of Deputy Prime Minister, Wong has reaffirmed the strong economic and security partnership between Singapore and the United States. In June, he met with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to strengthen bilateral defense initiatives. This event is part of the CSIS ASEAN Leadership Forum, the premier Washington venue for senior officials from Southeast Asian countries and other key dialogue partners to address today’s pressing issues before a Washington, D.C.-based policy audience.
