Mexico City continues to reshape how I understand architecture … not just as buildings, but as atmosphere, landscape, and lived experience. In this video, I share a new architectural overview of CDMX, moving between modernism, organic architecture, and colonial Spanish influence. From the powerful stillness of the Luis Barragán House, to the Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera Studio, to the layered urban fabric of Condesa and Roma, this city feels defined by contrast and continuity at the same time. A major focus here is organic architecture in Mexico City, particularly the work of Javier Senosiain. Visiting his organic architecture park, where buildings curve, burrow, and blend into the landscape, completely challenged the rigid ideas of modernism I’d grown used to. His work explores architecture as something biomorphic, playful, and deeply human, rooted in nature rather than imposed upon it.
