The Normies react to Kill Bill Vol. 1, directed and written by Quentin Tarantino. Pat, Navi, Marketa, Rana and Chris give their review!! The year is 1999. In El Paso, Texas. A former member of the Deadly Vipers Assassination Squad, the Bride (Uma Thurman), rehearses her wedding to Tommy Plympton in a chapel. The Deadly Vipers shoot everyone, led by Bill (David Carradine). Before shooting her in the head, the Bride lies wounded, but still reveals to Bill he is the father of her unborn child. The Police later find the Bride still alive, but in a coma. Another Deadly Viper, Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah) tries to euthanize the Bride, but Bill aborts the mission. He thinks it is dishonorable to kill her while defenseless. The Bride wakes up four years later, horrified to find she is no longer pregnant. In no time, she takes care of people taking advantage of her while she was comatose. Stealing a hospital worker's truck, she vows to kill Bill and the other Deadly Vipers. The Bride goes to Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox), a former Deadly Viper and takes her out after a bout fighting. The daughter inadvertently witnesses it and the Bride tells her she'll be waiting if she ever wants revenge. The Bride obtains a sword from the legendary Hattori Hanzō (Sonny Chiba) in Okinawa, who only forged the sword for her after learning she intends to use it on Bill. The Bride travels to Tokyo to find another Deadly Viper, O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu), now the leader of the Tokyo yakuza. After witnessing the yakuza murder her parents when she was a child, O-Ren took vengeance on the yakuza boss and replaced him after training as an elite assassin. The Bride takes down everyone in the way of getting to O-Ren, including her assistant and lawyer, Sofie Fatale (Julie Dreyfus), squad of elite fighters, the Crazy 88, her bodyguard, and the schoolgirl Gogo Yubari (Chiaki Kuriyama). O-Ren and the Bride duel in a Japanese garden. The Bride kills her, but not before she compliments her blade. Going back to Sofie, the Bride tortures her for information on the other Deadly Vipers, but leaves her alive as a threat. Bill finds Sofie and asks her if the Bride knows that her daughter is alive.
