and the universe said I love you. What is the goal of minecraft? Minecraft has no explicit goals, no last level, and no score to maximize. It is open ended. Open endedness is a feature of human intelligence that lets us explore, invent, and play forever. It is very difficult to get machine intelligences to do the same. Here is my attempt to get mindcraft bots to behave this way by using LLMs to make decisions endlessly and follow open ended goals, as well as more concrete, finite goals.
