It's the ultimate comfort food dessert. 🔔 Subscribe for more relaxing baking recipes! 📝 RECIPE & INGREDIENTS THE DOUGH • 350g (2¾ cups) All-purpose flour • 250ml (1 cup + 1 tbsp) Warm milk (95°F / 35°C) • 30g (2 tbsp) Sugar • 6g (2 tsp) Dry yeast • 1 Large egg (room temp) • 2g (½ tsp) Vanilla sugar (or Vanilla extract) • 0.5g (1 pinch) Salt THE FILLING • 3 Medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best) • 50g (¼ cup) Sugar • 2g (½ tsp) Vanilla sugar EGG WASH • 1 Egg (beaten) INSTRUCTIONS Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the warm milk and egg. In a separate bowl, mix all dry ingredients: flour, sugar, yeast, vanilla sugar, and salt. Combine the liquid and dry mixtures. Knead the dough well until it is smooth and elastic. Cover with a towel or plastic wrap and place in a warm spot for 1 hour to rise (until doubled in size). Prepare the Filling: Peel, core, and slice the apples. Place them in a pan with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Simmer over medium heat until the apples are slightly softened and caramelized. Let them cool.
