Their first and foremost purpose is to recover advanced technology to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. But what happens when an Elder, the highest ranking member responsible for guiding a Chapter, goes against everything it stands for? The result is a schism, a brutal rift where the group can no longer continue and divide in fear of facing an inevitable collapse. This was something that happened in 2276 to the Loyalist Chapter that was sent from California to Washington, 2500 miles across the country.
