Building MCP servers that actually work in production requires a completely different approach than the localhost examples you see in most tutorials. MCP has evolved significantly - we now have streamable HTTP, real authentication, production monitoring, and platforms to deploy remote MCP servers. This is certainly a step above my last video where I showed how to build MCP servers! In this video, I walk you through how to build production ready MCPs with a template you can use as a blueprint right now. I'll show you the complete implementation and walk you through a straightforward deployment to Cloudflare step by step. And when I say complete implementation I mean it - authentication with GitHub OAuth, production monitoring with Sentry, following best practices for security, and a single command deployment to production. I'm thinking of making a follow up video where I cover using my context engineering strategy to create another MCP server based on this template so you can see the full process.
