Christmas in 1970s Britain meant waking up to ice on the inside of your windows, one coal fire for the whole house, and the entire family squeezed onto the sofa watching Morecambe and Wise. You got one big present - maybe a Chopper bike or Tiny Tears - and you treasured it forever. The Radio Times double issue, prawn cocktail starters, Quality Street tins, and freezing bedrooms with single-glazed windows. Despite the cold houses and coal fires, it felt more magical than Christmas does now. This nostalgic look at 1970s British Christmas, from Woolworths decorations to the Queen's speech at 3pm, captures what made those simpler times so special.
