Welcome to my channel! As a lawn care professional with over a decade of experience, I not only maintain lawns and gardens but also travel across the country to offer free lawn care services to those in need. I am the originator of the "Mowing Lawns for Free" movement that has inspired many to contribute to their communities similarly. Aside from helping people, I'm also a dedicated husband and father of two, with 2 dogs, Rocky and Officer Doofy, the latter of whom I rescued while on a job in Kansas. He's now a beloved member of our family and a symbol of the good that can come from extending help to others. My passion for creating positive change is the reason behind this channel. Here, you'll discover lawn care tips and tricks, along with anecdotes from my journeys and experiences helping others. I hope to encourage you to make a difference in your own community, and to show that small acts of kindness can have a significant impact. Thank you for accompanying me on this journey!

While I was walking up to the door to knock, the renter actually took me by surprise. Through conversation I found out that Matt (the renter) was a senior citizen, just trying to make it. With the past few months of chaos it's been extremely hard just to keep his head above the water. Matt's roommate got very sick. He started having seizures and after calling an ambulance his roommate has been in the hospital for 2 months. Matt mentioned that he has been going to the hospital everyday to help care for his roommate. I know that being a care taker can be extremely tasking. Some of you know my personal sorry about the time my lawn was just like this. That's right. The lawn guy that started a movement of mowing lawns for free was once in need of help as well. Right around the time when Rachel and I first got married she went in to the hospital. This wasn't an isolated event. She probably went into the hospital 3 or 4 times that year. My wife has Crohn's disease and a few months before this event I had a conversation with her about staying at home if she wanted to. I knew that the Crohn's was so painful and uncomfortable for her that I wanted to giver her the option. I told her that she only had to go to work if she wanted too. I would like to say that doing that was easy but the truth is that it's very hard to make ends meet as a young family with only one source of income and Rachel's condition was not getting any better. I started working 12 hour days everyday and 7 days a week whenever they would give it to me because that 7th day was double time......most of which went to TAXES but at that time $20 might make the difference on us having enough gas in the truck to get to the end of the week. I was on a 2 month stretch of double time when Rachel went in to the hospital. I can't remember how long she was in there but the thing about my wife being in the hospital is that when she is there I do not leave her side. This is not just comforting for her it has also protected her from having surgeries with life long side effects. This is the way it was explained to me. "Kevin when your wife is in the hospital you are your wife's advocate. Surgeons want to fix things by cutting so you have to ask a lot of questions to see if there is any other way. A surgery will often times cause a problem down the road from scar tissue." I can confidently say that my wife's life would be completely altered in a negative way if I had not been there to just ask questions and when needed say NO. Years later Rachel's Crohn's is in remission and she has been doing incredibly well. So back too the lawn when Rachel and I finally came home from the hospital we came home to 6 to 8ft high grass. While I have all of the equipment to knock a job like that out now at the time I didn't even have a push mower. I was thoroughly screwed. We were broker than broke, with no mower, and the city was starting to give us notices. The lawn help we needed actually came in the form of a local drug addict ( and I say that with no judgement) he would frequent my neighbors house that I am 100% positive was a drug dealer. The man offered to mow our insane lawn for $30. I want to say thank you to him as well as just say that I hope he found his way out of the Trap of that lifestyle. So flash forward years later here I am doing this type of work to help people out, the way I needed it, at the time. I needed a small reset in to just help me breathe again. Once you can take a breath you can see a new way. Long story short. Help who you can, where you can, when you can. My friend Tina (a viewer of the channel) says, "help recklessly!" I like that. So there is only one more thing to say. If no one else tells you today. I love you! and I will see you in the next one. here is a helpful link If you would like to check out our amazon store front for tools that Rachel and I use at jobs as well as at home - https://www.amazon.com/shop/rachelhansen If you want to creep on the behind the scenes of my life these are the best locations to do that - https://www.tiktok.com/@mrs.juggernaut - OUR FAMILY VLOG CHANNEL - https://youtu.be/qn1v3cylyyo?si=PY5MtLP-Hb149vrm * NEWSLETTER SIGN UP -- https://lawncarejuggernaut.com/newsletter/ * Channel Member - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCISMdsCs7nzk3spMuh7GFDA/join TORO MOWERS - 36 in.GrandStand: https://bit.ly/4ibG9ZP - If you are a company looking to feature your product in our videos you can speak with our Brand Manager at - [email protected]
