Prawn here with my review of the Corsair HS80 Max wireless. This is an interesting upgrade to one of my favourite gaming headsets. The HS80 was a great headset with high quality sound, superb comfort and a great sounding mic too. What more could you want? Well, the things the HS80 Max offers probably! The Corsair HS80 Max includes some very neat features such as: - 2.4GHz slipstream wireless AND Bluetooth connectivity - USB-C fast-charging - Customisable sound with standard EQ profiles, Dolby Atmos and SoundID personalisation - Nvidia Broadcast AI noise cancellation built into Corsair iCue - 24-bit/96KHz high res sound (sample rate) wirelessly in Windows The Corsair HS80 Max offers superb comfort thanks to plush memory foam ear pads with breathable cloth fabric that feels almost velvety soft on the ears. It has a floating headband design that's comfortable but probably not ideal for larger heads but is adjustable and works nicely for me. This basically runs through a number of tests to check your hearing and adjust the sound according to your own ears and your personal taste. The first test checks for hearing loss and the second just your preferences in terms of sound (e.g. more bass or a more natural sound). This tech really changes how the audio sounds and is well worth trying. Corsair says: "Sonarworks’ innovative SoundID Technology personalizes your headset audio to your specific sound preferences. SoundID has now been improved to analyze your hearing to compensate for any hearing loss in specific frequency ranges. It’s the only sound personalization technology based on the award-winning SoundID Reference professional product used in over 100,000 recording studios around the world to work on the sound for top-level artists and AAA video games."
