At the end of the year we are blessed with one of the best horror games yet! Courage The Cowardly Dog seems like the perfect setting for a proper 3D horror game, but we never got one! Therefore a very talented developer has made one of the best fan games I have ever experienced. You can just see and feel the love that this developer had for the show as it is full of small details that feel so good and just like the show. Even small things like how Courage looks around scared or his little movements are all exactly like the show. The type of humor and jokes are also perfectly capturing the spirit of the tv series and I laughed out loud multiple times while playing. The variety in gameplay is great and every 5 minutes you will be doing something different. There are adventure elements where you have to find certain key items in order to progress and also combat sections and even boss fights. The puzzles never felt too difficult and it was at times very intuitive on what to do next. The game is full of easter eggs and fans of the show will absolutely adore this. I am not kidding when I say that I have played paid games that are of a way lesser quality than this fan game made in Dreams. It once again shows that Courage the Cowardly Dog is such a good premise for a videogame and maybe someday we will be once again blessed with a proper triple A game.
