Video Description
A few things I forgot to mention in the video: 1. Yes, I'm aware DaVinci Resolve is proprietary, and I'd obviously prefer if it wasn't. That said, I do not intend to become dependent on Resolve. If it randomly clunks out on me, instead of running it on Windows, I'll either try another program (e.g., Flowblade, Autograph, Lightworks) or just go back to Kdenlive. 2. I'm not making this video to throw shade at Kdenlive. I really like it (hence why I've used it for so long), and there are some things I think it does better than Resolve. A lot of them are to do with Kdenlive being Free (Libre) Software, but some are to do with the program itself. For instance, I prefer the way Kdenlive handles keyframes. However, I think the return on investment could be worth the quirks of Resolve. 3. Software is not a substitute for skill. This video is a bit crap, but bear in mind I haven't used Resolve for over a year. 4. I described GPU passthrough as hard, but I think a more accurate term is tedious. That said, anything is hard if you've never done it before.
