This is a day in the life of Chiharu, a Japanese lady married to a Singaporean. Chiharu helps out the hawker stall run by her husband Godon and his mother. Mei Xiang Yuan was first opened by Godon's grandfather in the 1980s and is now located at Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre in Woodlands. The stall sells rojak and satay which are both Singapore's soul food. In this video, I dive deep into the life of a hawker couple. What is it like helping out a hawker stall as a foreigner?
