Brutal Execution of Maria Masha Bruskina paraded and hanged by Germans troops at age 16 Maria Masha Bruskina Member of the Minsk Resistance Germany attacked Soviet Union. Bruskina and her mother were forced to live in the Minsk ghetto. She volunteered as a nurse at the hospital to care for Soviet Red Army wounded soldiers. She helped them escape by smuggling civilian clothes, medicine. She was arrested on October 14, 1941 by the German Wehrmacht SS soldiers and Lithuanian auxiliary troops. On October 26, 1941, Bruskina and two other members of the resistance, Volodia Shcherbatsevich and Kiril Trus were paraded and hanged in public. Maria Bruskina was 17 years old.
