Fixing a leak from the ceiling! #asmr

Welcome back on today’s Plumbing video I’m fixing a leak that’s coming through the ceiling, causing a damp patch in the room below. The customer reported that the boiler was losing pressure and over the time the damp patch was getting bigger. When working on a heating system the first thing you need to do is isolate the boiler and drain the water out of the radiator system but on this job there is no drain point in the radiator is below so I’m gonna show you a nice little trick on how to drain a heating system while you’re working above through the air vent on the radiators downstairs . When mapping out the leak above in the room, I measured off the water to the centre of the patch and that put me in the right area to lift the floors and try and find a leak . I drilled two tiny holes where I can stick an inspection camera down through the hole to give me a better idea of what was going on located that it was coming from the small pipework that joins onto the big copper pipes for the heating system so it was a case of cutting it out and rejoining the pipework together using sold emptied fittings The main plumber was that the previous installer had to put all three posts really close together and the one that was leaking was right in the middle so there’s no way of cutting just that pipe out even if you did it would be really hard to work on it, so I had to cut out both heating pipes and connect back onto the small pipes If you’d like today’s prime video, please give it a like drop a comment down below subscriber for you and I’ll see you on the next one
