Venice, Los Angeles – Friday, November 22, 2024 — Los Angeles Park Rangers, LAPD officers, and sanitation workers carried out a focused cleanup operation at the Venice Beach as part of the ongoing weekly maintenance initiative. The coordinated effort, aimed at upholding public safety and cleanliness, extended across the beach and surrounding areas. Led by Los Angeles Park Rangers and supported by the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, LA County Beaches and Harbors, the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, and Clean Harbors Environmental Inc., the initiative focused on clearing encampments and ensuring sanitary conditions along this popular beachfront. Park Rangers enforced Los Angeles Municipal Code 63.44, which prohibits camping structures and tents in city parks.
