Like promised I show you how to get #Android and #Google apps running on the #HuaweiPuraX and other #HarmonyOSNext devices. As HarmonyOS 5.x aka Next does not ship with any Android Runtime or Container you need to rely on third party apps like Droitong or EasyAbroad to provide an Android Container and install and run apps. Even though this solution sounds similiar to the GBox solution on previous HarmonyOS versions the underlying tech is totally different and does not require a virtual maschine as all Android apps are running on native hardware with the best possible integration into the system. In this video I show you how to install Android Container support and how you can get apps and apk files installed. I also show you the differences between the two solutions as well as the limitations I ran into while using those.
