Reparations for racism and slavery is the focus of the new film “The Cost of Inheritance” As lawmakers in Massachusetts consider what reparations could look like locally, a new WORLD channel documentary explores the country’s legacy of racism and slavery, and ongoing efforts to repair the damage done. Liz Neisloss was joined by Yoruba Richen , the director of "The Cost of Inheritance: An America ReFramed Special” and Lotte Lieb Dula, founder of Reparations 4 Slavery. The film kicks off a year-long look at the issue of reparations here at GBH. Next month, GBH News will launch a podcast about reparations - called "What Is Owed?"
