Heartwarming Idol Audition... KHLOE GRACE sings her touching original song, "Forever 13"

Such a beautiful, true story... Khloe hears about a 13-year-old girl who took her own life, because her depression became too heavy for her... the bullying took its toll, and the world his far worse off without her. This is a terrible disease of our time which we have to do something about! It's not enough to merely feel sad about yet another suicide story, and then simply move on with our lives as if things like that does not happen every singe day! This is the reason I congratulate the producers of American Idol, as they're using their massive platform to tell these stories and help raise awareness. As a parent myself, also an educator of 34 years, I strongly believe that the solution to this crisis begins IN THE HOME. I believe it is parents' responsibility to protect their children by NOT allowing uncensored and unlimited social media... But, that's a topic for another day. I think Khloe wrote a powerful song, not because it's prolific or particularly clever, but simply as it comes straight from her young heart. She just talks about what she's feeling and thinking as she contemplates this tragic death. She sings in an uncomplicated, natural way, with a lovely tone in her voice - a tone that almost makes her sound younger than 15... It is a very light voice, with a purity and innocence that really connects with the listener's heart. The question is whether or not Khloe has the emotional capacity to navigate an Idol journey at this stage in her life, an almost impossible question to answer, of course. She clearly has a strong character and high level of maturity, but Hollywood Week is not a joke...
