Helicopter Crash Lands In The North Sea | Mayday Air Disaster | S3 EP7 - On January 19, 1995, a Super Puma carrying 16 oil workers (Bristow Helicopters Flight 56C) set off on a 146 mile journey from the Scottish city of Aberdeen, bound for Marathon Oil’s Brae B platform. They never made it. With forty miles to go, their helicopter flew into a cloud. Hail started streaming into the plane through every vent. Then a gigantic flash of lightning knocked the helicopter out of the sky. The pilots struggled to stay airborne but in the end had to crash land into the heaving sea. *Licensed from Cineflix.
