First up: Welcome to 10 East 67th Street in New York City! Step inside a stunning Gilded Age townhouse on the Upper East Side where classic charm meets modern luxury. From the regal façade to the intricate millwork and the ornate ceiling moldings, every corner of this seven-story home — which was built in 1899 and designed by architect C.P.H. Gilbert — is a visual delight. Stained-glass windows, mahogany pocket doors, and marble fireplace surrounds further add to the elegance. Join George Vanderploeg for a tour of this lovely abode, including the crown jewel: a lavish primary suite that occupies nearly the entire third floor, complete with expansive bedrooms, dressing rooms, and all the amenities you could ever need. We then zip over to the West Coast where architect, interior designer, and developer Amr Samaha tells us about how first encountered a mid-century modern gem in Beverly Hills, “beautiful” was merely the starting point. What followed was a masterful reinvention, where Amr preserved the home’s original charm while reimagining its flow and finishes. The result? A sophisticated ranchette-style sanctuary that effortlessly blends rich natural materials such as French white oak, travertine, and limestone with striking architectural details, creating a seamless harmony between interior and exterior spaces. From the custom Egyptian-inspired doors that diffuse light while maintaining privacy to the tactile elegance of honed Cipollino marble and unlacquered brass adornments to the meticulous balance between dark accents and light tones of oak in the main living areas to add depth and perspective, every detail throughout this homechas been thoughtfully crafted. After, we head over to 601 Washington Street, where luxury touches the sky, for a tour of penthouse east with Ryan Serhant. This 7,500 sq ft corner masterpiece is located in the heart of the West Village, spans FOUR floors, and boasts 6 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, and a stunning open design with 16.5 ft ceilings that elevate every room. From the mesmerizing floating staircase to the sleek kitchen featuring Meile ovens and custom cabinetry to a 1,700 sq ft wraparound terrace with plunge pools, hot tubs, and sweeping city views, every detail is curated for elegance. We then join Aamir Khandwala for a look around his latest project — a 3,100 sq. ft. apartment in NoMad that plays with scale and seamlessly blends art, design, and entertainment. The entryway immediately captures attention with lacquered blue walls (eight coats, three months in the making!) and a custom round mirror, setting the tone for the rest of the home. The open living, dining, and kitchen areas are designed for effortless flow and easy entertaining, featuring a deep blue sofa, custom coffee tables with antique mirror tops, and swiveling armchairs that invite conversation. Additionally, in dining area, a plush banquette and leather chairs create a relaxed yet refined space, while soft, layered lighting highlights the art collection and key design elements — such as the striking column that adds a unique touch. Overall, this space is a wonderful example of how thoughtful design can bring together function, craftsmanship, and beauty. Finally, we sync up with Andrew Heid, founder of No Architecture, in the West Village for a tour of a jaw-dropping home dubbed "The Urban Treehouse." Heid and his team transformed the space from two modernist white box apartments into one large open home configured as a 2-bedroom that boasts warmth, natural light, an organic palette of natural, muted materials. From the practical functionality (where even every door offers storage or an opportunity to create a private enclosure at night) to the compressed pantry area that opens into the "wow factor" — a main, double-height living space, filled with 22-ft glass windows that look out right into the New York landscape, that offers dramatic scale and two defining treehouse areas for dining and relaxing. With their light, interactive structure and transparent nets, as well as the large concrete, fiber-reinforced planters that create a relationship between the trees outside versus the indoor ones, these treehouses serve as giant, dynamic pieces of furniture and are perfect for entertaining and enjoying breathtaking views of NYC.
