I restock my online shop around 3/4 times a year, with about 300-400 pieces a time, if you'd like to receive a newsletter about when these go live you can sign up to my newsletter on my website, (https://www.floriangadsby.com/newsletter). I also leave the shop page online, even though it appears as sold out, it usually sells out in a few minutes time, just to give you an idea of what's available and the price range, (https://www.floriangadsby.com/shop). Video Description

Here's this week's ASMR version of my teapot making video. If you'd prefer to watch the version with an informative narration, you can find it here: (https://youtu.be/_nNexrGxpG8). Otherwise, for those who enjoy the sounds from the studio, this ones for you. Timecodes: 0:00 - Introduction 0:32 - Throwing teapot body 3:30 - Throwing lid 5:01 - Throwing spout 7:45 - Trimming and assembling teapot 20:19 - Pulling and attaching the handle 25:17 - Packing the electric kiln for a bisque firing 27:26 - Unpacking the electric kiln 28:02 - Waxing the teapot 29:37 - Glazing the teapot 33:19 - Rolling out the waddings to prop up the lid 34:03 - Packing the gas kiln 34:49 - Firing the gas kiln 37:32 - Unpacking the gas kiln 38:27 - Grinding the lid smooth 39:18 - Sanding the base 39:42 - Finished teapots My wadding recipe is: 50% china clay/kaolin, 50% coarse alumina hydrate. Mix together slowly and then combine with water very slowly, as it seems to turn to a liquid very easily, so add less than you think. The gas kiln is a Rohde KG-340, and my potter's wheel is a Rohde HMT 500.
