You don’t have an audience yet, which means you need to find an audience by figuring out what they are searching for and capitalize on that. This is easiest done with Education content, that is what I am doing with this channel. I use tools and common sense to think about what people who want to learn to stream or improve their stream are looking for. Channel page updates are rolling out right now slowly and should be rolled out for everyone by the end of the year, this means now Videos, Shorts, and Live Streams will have their own tabs on the channel, if you’ve uploaded each of them… No more unlisting Live streams, and of course that means, no more losing watch hours, but more importantly, uploading shorts without making your channel page look terrible and harder to locate your main videos. Quickly as well, they are experimenting with a new recommendation tool on channel pages so the subs who visit get videos or content on your channel recommended to them based on what they enjoy most, so if someone subscribed to you for shorts, they’ll see shorts rather than videos when they come to your channel. Make education content on the topic you want to grow in, if you are a Stardew Valley streamer then you can make videos about “How To Install Mods In Stardew Valley” or “Best Greenhouse Layout For Stardew Valley” or if you are a speedrunner for something like Super Mario Odyssey or Legend of Zelda, “How To Speedrun Super Mario Odyssey - Cap Kingdom Tutorial” The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and VidIQ in parts.
