There's a new supercar joining my fleet, and it will be the fastest car I have ever owned! To reveal all, I'm at the brand new Ten Tenths Motor Club in Charlotte, NC for some private track laps before Heritage Invitational, and taking a full look at the new car. I cannot wait for what's ahead with this! Immediately opposite the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina, sits a brand new private race track, and we're going for some first laps in a new McLaren Artura with Graham Smith to find out what it's all about. Ready to host its first major event, the Heritage Invitational, the clubhouse has prime position with an amazing view of the circuit and with Hendrick Performance located beside the circuit, we've got the perfect day ahead. If there's one thing Hendrick Performance and Rick Hendrick are known for; it's assembling one of, if not the very best collections of Corvettes in the world, including plenty of chassis 001 cars of all generations and models. ----- SPOILERS BELOW ----- You might be spotting a direction here... and I'm delighted to announce that the second most powerful car I have ever owned after my Zenvo, and by far the fastest ever, is going to be the brand new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1! Today we are not only exploring the car for the first time on the channel, but able to run through the configurator and put together some specification ideas. The new ZR1 features a 1,064bhp 5.5 litre twin turbo charged V8, all of which goes to the rear wheels with the absence of hybridisation (that might be built upon for the future "Zora") and has been tested to date at a truly ludicrous top speed of 233mph. While the addition of the ZTK Package reduces the Vmax, there's no question that the evolution of the mid-engine C8 generation Corvette to boast figures at this level is quite something. Having driven many different C7 models, I was lucky to attend the global debut of the C8 model in July 2019; since when I've also been to the launch of the Convertible, media drives of the Stingray, and checked out the E-ray, plus @EmeliaHartford's record holder and @EddieX's Z06. It's been a case of time until a Corvette would join the Shmeemobiles and the new ZR1 is absolutely the car to do it!
