Today we go deeper into Iraqi Kurdistan and give you our first impressions of Erbil and the hospitality of Kurdish people. We were blown away by how friendly everybody was in this city, with invitation to eat and drink with locals as well as being offered multiple things free of charge. We hope you enjoy this video and see what the REAL Kurdistan looks like! We start by getting a local shared taxi from Sulamaniyah taxi station into Erbil. After this we check into our $40/night hotel and then head to the famous Yassin Kebab in the old Souk. We meet some incredible locals before then having our meal paid for as well as being treated to chai afterwards. From here we head to a few local vendors around the city and finish up on top of the citadel.
