About

I'm Shane, a custom furniture maker and full-time pun enthusiast. I design and build modern furniture that'll make you say, "Wow, that's nice wood." My videos are a mix of tips, tricks, how-tos, and a few dad jokes—because why not? Woodworking isn't just a hobby; it's a way to turn a pile of lumber into something that will hopefully leave you impressed. I get my inspiration from all sorts of places, and I’m always looking to improve my craft—because, after all, who doesn’t want to be better at cutting wood into smaller pieces? Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro, there’s something here for you. I’m all about building up a community where makers can support each other, swap ideas, and have a little fun in the process. Video Description

In this video, I’ll show you how to build a grill table. This grill station can be used with any kamado grill or green egg. I combined sapele and eucalyptus hardwood for some contrast, and both of these woods are perfect for use in outdoor settings as they are very rot-resistant. This grill station is designed with slats to allow water to fall through the top instead of pooling, and it fits in the corner of patios and decks to maximize space. There is also some fun and challenging mortise and tenon joinery in this one. This woodworking project is a great way to get started with your own outdoor kitchen. ▸ SUBSCRIBE! https://bit.ly/3msp0Su ▸ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/timberbiscuit ▸ Plan: Let me know in the comments if you would like plans! // FOLLOW ▸ Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/timberbiscuitwoodwork ▸ Follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TimberBiscuit ▸ Website: https://timberbiscuitwoodworks.com ▸ Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TimberBiscuit PantoRouter - Use code BISCUIT for $200 Off the all-in package - https://bit.ly/pantorouter200 Items I used: Auto Scale Miter Sled: https://amzn.to/3ZFdkz4 Pica Dry Pencil - https://amzn.to/3rU3OXg Magswitch FeatherBoard - https://amzn.to/2JGuoQR Gluebot Glue Bottle -https://amzn.to/3PvTbpm Dado Stack - https://amzn.to/4cjjpFk Woodpeckers 24" Rule - https://amzn.to/3jTDEko Woodpeckers Pocket T-Square Set - https://amzn.to/3wr1Mxo Osmo UV Protection Oil - https://amzn.to/3TgfnoQ Figure Eight Fasteners - https://amzn.to/3Tlvx07 0:00 Project Goals 1:16 Milling the Lumber for the Base 5:31 Mortise and Tenon Joinery 9:18 Accent Curves 12:24 Ledger Strips 14:34 Milling the Lumber for the Slats 16:37 Making the Lower Slatted Shelf 18:17 Making the Slatted Top 23:00 Cutting the Kamado Hole 25:25 Bringing the Two Sides Together 27:09 Attaching the Lower Slats 28:41 Finishing Touches and Reveal #woodworking #grilltable #grillstation
