Video Description

In 1900, the Petite Ceinture railway carried 38 million passengers in a single year. But by 1934 its stations were closed forever. What happened? Why was it abandoned? And why do the tracks seem to have been kept in good condition? I went to Paris to find out more... (Apologies for occasional shakey footage in this video: a few shots were filmed last year before I bought my nice smooth camera.)
