We will of course be doing the extended edition which is easily the best way to watch it. Now one does not simply break down a movie and I've also read through the book as well. As with House Of The Dragon I'll be discussing some of the major passages and what we learn as well as how the movie handled things differently. Now that instantly sets the tone for the book and fills the pages with a wealth of atmosphere. Feeling like its almost a scroll from a long lost parchment it feels like it portrays the history of a long forgotten world. All this happens before we even get our chapter list and it grips you right from the off. This is something Sir Peter Jackson perfectly mimics in the movie with Galadriel telling us the tales of the ring.
