Lying shivering in the ruined house, the exhausted mother hugged her four hungry and crying children As we passed by an orchard, we happened to see dogs guarding the orchard. All the dogs were chained with a large rusty iron chain under a large tree. All the dogs were so skinny that they were just skin and bones. Among them, we found a female dog that had just given birth. Her body was skinny and her fur was covered with dirt. Her face was tired and around her neck was a rather large chain. When they saw us, all the dogs did their guard duty. They turned their eyes towards us and barked loudly as if to warn their owners that a stranger was passing by. But she was different, she smiled and welcomed us. Her hopeful eyes were turned towards us. She lived in a dilapidated and run-down house, the house was made of rocks and bricks left around the path. Inside her house was cold earth with many protruding rocks. Looking deeper inside, we saw four puppies shivering and hugging each other tightly. Looking closely, we discovered that the puppies were only a few days old and quite small. They couldn't even open their eyes and walk yet, the four hungry and exhausted babies tried to cry out for their mother...
