During The ICE in St. Moritz I filmed this 1994 Bugatti EB110 SS. After Ettore Bugatti's death in 1947, the Bugatti car chapter seemed to have closed. However, the Italian Romano Artioli, together with some friends, breathed new life into Bugatti. Artioli had the architect of the factory complex redesign the supercar produced in Campogalliano (Italy) in 1992, the EB110, a reference to founder Ettore Bugatti (EB) and 110 stood for the number of years after his birthday that the sports coupe was presented. The body style was by Marcello Gandini. Initially, Bugatti launched the GT version: in the spirit of the earlier models, it was an engineering feat. The sports car with up-hinged doors was built around a carbon fiber monocoque with aluminum sheet metal and a V12 engine with four turbochargers. The intention was to build 150 units on an annual basis in the factory. In the approximately two years that Bugatti Automobili existed, 139 examples reportedly left the factory gates: 106 units were designed GT, 33 were called Super Sport. Two Super Sport models were also racing versions, with customers competing in the 1994 24 Hours of Le Mans in France and the 24 Hours of Sebring. Both models still exist. After the bankruptcy, the remains of Bugatti Automobil were sold in 1995, including prototypes and study models.
