Ukrainian troops have repelled large-scale Russian offensive in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Russian troops launched an offensive in the direction of Dobropillia in Pokrovsk city in eastern Donetsk region. Taking advantage of fog and poor visibility, Russians attempted a motorized infantry assault in the area of responsibility of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov.” Video footage of the operation has been shared in social media. The footage shows moments of strikes on the advancing Russian military convoy. The Russian attack involved numerous quad bikes, infantry units, as Russians attempted to push as far forward as possible. In total, Russians used 16 quad bikes during the assault - and not a single one reached its objective. Following the professional and swift response of Ukrainian Defense Forces, Russian offensive was stopped halfway. Russian forces have intensified their attacks towards Dobropillia in Donetsk region and have sought to advance in this direction of the frontline for months. They have also been pushing in the direction between Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka since spring. In another counteroffensive, Ukraine’s Defence Forces thwarted Russian army’s mechanized assault on Novopavlivka settlemet in Dnipropetrovsk region. Several turtle tanks managed to reach the southeastern outskirts of the settlement. Russian soldiers transported by then tank were then targeted by Ukrainian drone operators using aerial strikes. Video released in social media captures precise air strikes on Russian tanks moving along a road and other Russian targets on various parts of the frontline. The situation in Dnipropetrovsk remains tense despite the region not being a primary front-line zone.
