But instead of sending it to the landfill, I decided to tear it down and see if I could salvage the good parts to build something brand new. In this video, we'll dive deep into the diagnosis and repair process. I'll show you how to use a specialized internal resistance meter to pinpoint exactly which cells have gone bad—a trick a standard multimeter just can't do! After finding the faulty group, I salvage the healthy half of the pack and pair it with a new 4S Battery Management System (BMS) to create a completely custom, standalone 16.8V lithium-ion battery. The best part? We'll test it out by using our DIY creation as an external battery to charge up another Ecoflow power station, turning a failed product into the ultimate backup for my backup!
