WWI Artifact Restoration. During a metal detecting trip on a World War I battlefield, I uncovered a heavily rusted relic buried for over a century. Though corroded, it immediately caught my attention due to its historical value. In this video, I take you through the full restoration process — from rust removal and disassembly to careful cleaning of each component. The final result is now ready to be displayed in a local museum. I already know what the artifact is, but I’ve kept it a surprise so you can discover it along the way. And yes — it's now completely safe. This piece has been safe and non-functional since it was discharged more than 100 years ago.
