#omoda #phev #suv The OMODA 9 is the brand’s latest model to hit the UK market following in the successful footsteps of the OMODA 5 & Jaecoo 7! A premium PHEV with an official WLTP range of 93 miles, providing a total fuel / electric range of up to 700 miles means the 9 is a flexible step into electrification, the battery also won’t run completely flat and will act as a self-charging hybrid when the battery level is lower. Working as a combination with some battery charge, I managed to achieve up to 108MPG and once the battery level was lower, around 63MPG, the engine alone can run at around 46MPG. Currently there’s only 1 specification the top-spec ‘Noble’ trim which is packed with features like the 360* cameras, 14-speaker SONY soundsystem, panoramic sunroof & much more. There are quite a few PHEV SUVs in the segment competing, but not with this sort of range or with as many features at this price. Overall I was impressed with the quality of the car, but I would’ve liked to see a stronger regen mode & maybe the same steering wheel we see in the smaller OMODA 5 models.
