This was my first time in Pakistan and we went on a 3 week trip travelling through the spectacular mountains of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. We were travelling as part of a bespoke tour I hosted with Intrepid Travel. In this first episode we touch down in Islamabad and then making the 2 day journey driving up into the mountains, eventually arriving at the beautiful village of Tarishing. From here we trek to the the base camp of Nanga Parbat, the 9th highest mountain in the world.
