This documentary is first and foremost about capturing the daily life of two towns, one Israeli and the other Palestinian: Sderot and Gaza, which plunge into the hell of war. A chilling account of the 50 days leading up to the Gaza war, between the attempt to live a normal life and a spiral of violence, both physical and psychological, that surged forward with no one able to quell it. Before Sderot becomes tragically knowned for being one of the iosraeli cities attacked by the Hamas on the 7th October 2023, the city was already threatened by the Hamas during the Gaza War (2008-2009). The inhabitants were living under the bombs in this now near-deserted city, which survived on state supplies and medical products. But in the other side of the border, in the Gaza Strip, the palestinians begin to suffer from the blockade imposed by Israel: an "open-air-prison". Every day, for two months, an Israeli video and a Palestinian video answered each other and shed light on each other: one without the other would have been incomplete, a mere fragment of reality. This is an attempt to convey how life is lived by men, women, and children on each side of the border. Their lives and survival, day by day. Under constant threat of air raids, bombings, of being surrounded, they continue to work, love, and dream. Life, in spite of everything.
